He’ll join a side with a frustrating habit of losing when they expect to win. But what a great performance the Foxes made to deny Liverpool a win at Anfield in midweek, earning a point with a goal from Harry Maguire. He was immense throughout the game, repelling all the Reds lethal attack could throw at him. It was only the England centre back’s third goal of the season, but his all-around play inspired Leicester to an unlikely point.
This is the Manchester United of old (almost)
We know how Ole Gunnar Solksjaer wants his team to play, particularly after agreeing to sell Marouane Fellaini to Chinese club Shandong Luneng at the end of the January window. The big Belgian was a mainstay under Jose Mourinho who liked his ability to stop the opposition play, but Solskjaer wants his own team to play good football. Since his arrival, the moody Paul Pogba has been smiling again and has now scored nine times for United, while Marcus Rashford, Romelu Lukaku and Anthony Martial all have eight.
The Red Devils lost their 100 per cent record under Solskjaer but preserved his unbeaten run, with two late goals to grab a point against Burnley on Tuesday. It was the United of old, launching wave after wave of attack in the closing minutes, finally breaking down a resolute Claret defence. Fans commented it was a return of ‘Fergie Time’, but I can’t help but think that the Red Devils would have grabbed a winner under Sir Alex.
Romelu Lukaku was given a start against Burnley with Jesse Lingard missing out. But Lingard came on to win the crucial penalty which sparked that late comeback.
Don’t underestimate the impact of Sir Alex’s former right-hand man, Mike Phelan, astutely brought back into the fold by Solskjaer.

There is little comfort for home fans who dare to look at the Leicester City vs Manchester United results in the Premier League era. The Foxes have won just two from 27 games, with seven draws and 18 defeats at the hands of the Red Devils.
They return to the King Power without a win in four while Manchester United are on a run of four consecutive away wins.
