RB Leipzig vs Werder Bremen
RB Leipzig continue their journey at the top of the Bundesliga table as they face Werder Bremen this Saturday at the Red Bull Arena.
The Red Bulls prevented the Bavarians from breaking away as they held them to a goalless draw last time, showing everyone that they are indeed a legitimate title contender this season.
As it stands now, Bayern Munich hold a slim edge over RB Leipzig. Trailing behind are the likes of Borussia Dortmund and Monchengladbach who both have 39 points apiece.
At the same time, the Julian Nagelsmann-mentored squad will be very busy as they prepare for the Champions League to which they’ll face Tottenham in the Final 16 knockout phase.
They will face a relegation candidate in Werder Bremen, who have been on a downward trajectory as of late. Die Werderaner are currently 17th at the table with only 17 points and they have lost four of their last five fixtures.
After an odd month of October to which they have gathered some points despite not winning or losing, Werder Bremen are still in search for a breakthrough as they continuously fight for survival in top-flight.
This match means a lot more to the Red Bulls, believe it or not. So a win here is in order for them to go up and take the lead once more in the Bundesliga table.

Red Bulls aiming to take charge

As long their “inexperience” doesn’t get in the way, who knows? Maybe they will be the ones dethroning the Bavarians once and for all.
Werder Bremen on a downward spiral
Die Werderaner have hit a new low by sinking into the relegation zone and a large part of that is due to their porous defence.
Werder Bremen have conceded the league-worst 48 goals already this term, including seven in their last four games.
Their attack doesn’t seem to be a problem as they could keep up with the best of them at times. In their wins, Werder have scored at least three goals, but it is a difficult feat to achieve consistently since victories are hard to come by.
Milot Rashica continues to be the main man for Die Werderaner, contributing seven goals and three assists already. Right behind him are the likes of Yuya Osako and Davy Klaassen, who are responsible for recording seven goals and four assists combined.
But besides those three, there aren’t many contributors from their roster. The Eggenstein brothers failed to live up to expectations since they haven’t done much to save their team.
Team manager Florian Kohfeldt will have the daunting task of guiding his squad to avoid relegation, but it will be much easier said than done.

These two sides have only met each other nine times. RB Leipzig won in five while Werder Bremen won in three along with three draws.
RB Leipzig dominated Werder Bremen in their reverse fixture despite having only 10 men to finish the game. Konrad Laimer was sent off via a red card but they still scored a comfortable 3-0 victory.
The Red Bulls have only lost once in their last 17 home matches. Werder Bremen have yet to win in their three road games against RB Leipzig.

The Red Bulls are the clear favourites in our Bundesliga 2020 odds as they’re placed at 1.27 while Werder Bremen are at 8.75 in the 1×2 market. This is to be expected given the disparity of these two sides in terms of overall quality.
If goals are your thing, a safe bet could be Total Goal 2-3 at 2.36 since that has been the pattern in their last few encounters. Total Goal 4-6 is placed at 2.15, but for me it sounds a tad unrealistic.
Either way, football fans can expect a cracker in this one. But the bulk of the goals scored are expected to be supplied by RB Leipzig.
