Leicester fans are probably the most hurting set of supporters in the Premier League. After causing a huge football betting upset with their 2015/16 championship campaign, they are now struggling to win football games against the likes of Burnley.
While there are other clubs that also need to be whipped back to shape, Leicester are thrown into the spotlight simply due to the fact that they won the Premier League the season prior. The betting odds for Leicester and the other struggling sides won’t be kind, but anything can happen once football has begun.
Leicester City vs Manchester United (February 6, 00:00 GMT+8)
Claudio Ranieri better hopes that Jose Mourinho benches Anthony Martial and Bastian Schweinsteiger when Manchester United visit King Power Stadium.
The last time Leicester hosted the Red Devils, the game ended in a 1-1 draw that saw Manchester United failing to capitalise on their possessions. Ranieri can only hope for at least a draw when names such as Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Paul Pogba set foot in Leicester for the first time.
Given how Manchester United fail to beat smaller teams in their last three league games, I have a good feeling that Leicester can actually manage to scrape away with a point. My first tip is a 🌟🌟 bet for Leicester +0.75 @ 1.98.
Southampton vs West Ham (February 4, 23:00 GMT+8)
Both of these clubs are hurting from the loss of key players, but at least Charlie Austin will still wear a Saints kit when he’s back from injury.
The horrible breakup between West Ham and Dimitri Payet definitely put a lot of emotional stress on the team as well as Slaven Bilic. While the Hammers did acquire Robert Snodgrass from Hull City, I don’t think they can replace a player of Payet’s quality that easily and quickly. Evidence of this fact is their 0-4 meltdown against Manchester City.
One of the few good things West Ham can look forward to is the fact that Southampton are looking vulnerable lately. The Saints’ 2-1 defeat to Swansea compounds with their humiliating 5-0 exit out of the FA Cup. I think West Ham would come out as narrow victors, so my second tip is West Ham +0.50 @ 2.16 for another 🌟🌟 punt.
Hull City vs Liverpool (February 4, 23:00 GMT+8)
Things are finally looking up for Hull City, now led by former Olympiakos manager Marco Silva. The Tigers have regained some of their bite since the Portuguese replaced Mike Phelan early in January. Their commendable performances as of late can be directly attributed to the organisation’s hunger for success and Silva’s tactical prowess.
While it doesn’t look like it on paper, they have an actual chance of winning against Liverpool and climbing out of the drop zone. The Reds haven’t won a single game since their FA Cup victory over Plymouth Argyle, and Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp admitted that the locker room is unstable.
I think Hull can catch Liverpool by their ankles once again and make the disillusioned Hull fans believe again. I’m jumping on the train and will make a risky 🌟🌟🌟 recommendation for Hull +1.25 @ 1.90.
