With the absence of Serena Williams and the poor form of some top players, the French Open has indeed become an unpredictable live betting event.

Ostapenko sure knows how to defeat the Dane, and Wozniacki’s only chance would come if she can exploit the Latvian teenager’s vulnerable second serve.
I think this battle will go the distance like their latest meeting in Prague, but given their history, betting on Ostapenko with Money Line Odds @ 2.09 is a risk worth taking.
Kristina Mladenovic vs Timea Bacsinszky
Although Bacsinszky has the clear advantage playing in Paris where she reached the semi-finals just two years ago, Mladenovic isn’t someone you can write off at this stage.
Not only will the 24-year-old be high in confidence following her victory over defending champion Garbine Muguruza, but she will also be backed by the crowd hoping for another French titlist at home.
Bacsinszky had a comfortable way to the last eight and will be dangerous with her consistent return game, though I believe Kiki’s excellent form – polished by her tough run up to this stage – should allow her to breeze through an Asian Handicap -1.50 that pays at 2.81.
Caroline Garcia vs Karolina Pliskova
Pliskova is yet to win a big event on clay, and there’s no denying that it isn’t her favourite surface. However, she did well reaching this point, showing that she’s a fighter throughout the event.
The Czech will certainly have a rough time overcoming the impact of the crowd against another home hero in Garcia, but she should be prepared for it and be able to punish the 23-year-old French ace who has shown signs of nerves against compatriot Alize Cornet.
I like the chances of Pliskova in this one, considering that she’ll have the extra motivation of going No.1 if she reaches the final. With that said, choosing Pliskova Game Handicap -2.50 @ 1.92 should be a solid move.
Elina Svitolina vs Simona Halep
It’s a repeat of the recently concluded Italian Open finals, but don’t expect the same result this time especially with Halep looking to avenge her loss.
Svitolina, of course, will be the usual threat she is to the Romanian. She is capable of putting doubts in her opponent’s head with her force and aggression, not to mention her formidable return of serve. Nonetheless, after Halep made quick work of clay-court star Carla Suarez Navarro, it will be difficult even for the Ukrainian to stop her now.
It shouldn’t also help Svitolina that she had lots of troubles in both Round 3 and 4, so I think the situation is favourable for Halep to win on Asian Handicap -1.50 @ 2.03.
